Save videos on iPhone
It is worth noting that when you download a video from YouTube or Facebook that is not yours, there is a grey area in terms of copyright. For your personal use is fine, but should you sell it then the chances are you are breaking the law in most countries.
As such, the golden rule when it comes to downloading someone else’s content is that you don’t sell it.
Choose Your Storage Location
Before you start downloading videos and images, it is a good idea to choose the location where you want to store what you download. If you use Safari the Files app is by default where your videos and images will be stored. You can specify if you want to store them on your device or in an iCloud folder.
You can specify a different cloud provider, however, such as Dropbox or Google Drive. To change, do the following;
- Go Safari, Downloads.
- From the list select the location you want.
Saving a Video to Your iPhone
Although iOS 13 now includes a video download facility there will be times when you need to use third party sites. This is the ideal way to save YouTube and Facebook videos as this is impossible using the respective apps. If all else fails you can record the video from the iPhone screen although the results are often not that good.
